My first trip in 2025 has taken me to Nairobi to be with and encourage the church in Kenya during a challenging period. I was the last to join a team of brothers and sisters from three continents who came to support our fellowship in Kenya.
The many meetings we had with individuals were great opportunities to listen, learn and love. After a challenging week of facing the facts on ground, we saw God’s Spirit work powerfully to provide a way forward for the leadership and the church community at large.
On the first Sunday, the entire Nairobi Church met and the challenges were the focus of the different messages that were given. Later in the week, I had the opportunity to teach a class for the entire Nairobi Church at Midweek on “Keeping the Right Perspective” especially during challenging times. (Link to video). On the second Sunday, I spoke to the Southern Bloc of the Nairobi Church comprised mainly of brothers and sisters in the Imaara and Kitengela neighbourhoods.
It was truly a blessing to be with them and to deepen old friendships as well as create new ones. The lessons learnt especially rotate around the power of team leadership and the need to foster great partnerships in the Lord.
Please pray for the Nairobi Church as God takes them through this challenging season of the history.
To God Alone Be The Glory
