Greetings from Munich

Jul 17, 2023 | Gilbert's Journal

Munich is the last stop of my 3-week European trip and I have been asked by many how I am able to cope with the exhaustion that comes with travelling to many locations by air, by rail and by road.

Spending time in God’s free nature has been one of the ways He has been renewing my strength – just like the eagles (Psalm 103:5). I ended my walk with a song in German talking about the way God renews our youth and His Creation plays a vital role.

This morning’s walk felt like my soul was immersed into God’s refreshing creation. I recorded some of my thoughts during the walk. (Reflections on European Trip and Thoughts on faith in Europe Vs Africa)

I am drinking deep into fellowship, preparing to speak on Sunday at service and looking forward to spend time with the NextGen Group.

Please pray for my German to flow when I get to preach/teach on Sunday.

Also counting down to my return on Tuesday – to be reunited with my family.
Vielen Dank aus Munchen!

Praise the LORD, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the LORD, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Psalm 103:1-5)
